About

SIPtoSIP represents the latest in a series of initiatives by Free World Dialup to further the cause of the VoIP industry. Finding new demand represents a significant piece of unfinished business for the VoIP industry. The telephone produced a many fold increase in demand over the telegraph. VoIP still depends on the same pool of demand as traditional telephone service. FWD moved to paid membership in September 2008 and started the search for a workable calling model free of telephone network constraints. SIPtoSIP seeks to foster a hobbyist attitude toward experimentation with the communication options enabled by SIP.
